Get to Know Us

The newly forming Camp Maui detachment is in honor of the 4th Marine Division who were stationed here on the island during WW II.  The Kihei VFW post was chosen as a meeting location because the building was the Commanding Officers Headquarters building which was moved fro Camp Maui to it's current location in Kihei.

The Marine Corps League is the only Congressionally chartered United States Marine Corps -related veterans organization in the United States. Its Congressional Charter was approved by the 75th U.S. Congress and signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on August 4, 1937. The organization credits its founding on November 10, 1922 to legendary Marine Corps Commandant John A. Lejeune.  The league is a 501 (c) (4) non profit organization.
